cacaFly Malaysia attended the TikTok event held in Malaysia for Ramadan 2024 on November 8th. This was a physical event launched as part of TikTok’s marketing plan for Ramadan 2024.

On the day of the event, TikTok not only reviewed the relevant data for Ramadan 2023 on its platform but also invited two outstanding companies, Spritzer and Zucca, who performed well during the 2023 Ramadan, to share their experiences. Moreover, TikTok provided a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions for all attendees in preparation for Ramadan 2024.

The data provided by TikTok indicates a significant 40% increase in users creating videos on the platform in 2023 compared to 2022. With the potential for further growth in 2024, this data demonstrates the widespread popularity of TikTok’s short-form videos. This suggests that as more users continue to create and share short videos on the platform, brands have the opportunity to benefit from this trend in 2024.

During the event, TikTok also hinted at the launch of TikTok Pulse Ads and updates to Top View in 2024. TikTok Pulse Ads enable brands to more precisely align with popular content on the For You page, thereby enhancing the exposure and engagement of advertisements.

Top View, on the other hand, is a 60-second ad format that allows brands to be the first thing users see when they open the TikTok app. This full-screen, prominent ad format is designed to capture users’ attention more strongly, thereby enhancing the overall impression of the advertisement. Top View is an existing ad format that requires direct reserving from TikTok officials, but in 2024, it will be possible to set up and run ads directly through TikTok Ads Manager.

Although specific application details for these two updates have not been disclosed at this stage, both aim to enhance advertising effectiveness, making brands more competitive on the TikTok platform!

At the end of the event, there was an invitation extended to Irfan Khairi, a successful entrepreneur in Malaysia with 431,000 followers, who is not only a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) but also a prominent business figure. He shared his secrets on how he managed to achieve one million views for each of his short videos!
